GOP Primary Assured In SD43 Race

A Republican primary in Senate District 43 is assured with the filing of political neophyte Greg Childers of Del City.

He joins veteran Rep. Paul Wesselhoft in the race.

Childers, 41, and Wesselhoft, 64, filed in the first two days of the filing period, which ends today at 5 p.m.

The seat is being vacated by Jim Reynolds, who has been elected treasurer of Cleveland County. He takes that post early next month.
