Lightning Strikes: OKC All Afire Over The Thunder!

The Oklahoman's Mel Bracht reports this afternoon, "The Oklahoma City Thunder shattered the team's ratings record with a 24.0 preliminary rating for TNT's Wednesday night telecast of Game 5 of the Thunder-Grizzlies series.

"The record had been a combined 21.4 rating for Game 6 of last year's Thunder-Lakers series. That game did a 13.9 on TNT and a 7.5 on Fox Sports Oklahoma.

"Ratings are the percentage of TV households in the Oklahoma City TV market.

"The top five Thunder ratings in the three years the team has been in Oklahoma City:
1. Thunder-Grizzlies Game 5, May 11, 2011, TNT, 24.0.
2. Thunder-Lakers Game 6, April 30, 2010, TNT 13.9, FSOK 7.5, 21.4.
3. Thunder-Nuggets Game 5, April 27, 2011, TNT 10.9, FSOK 9.8, 20.7.
4. Thunder-Lakers Game 4, April 24, 2010, ESPN 16.0, FSOK 4.6, 20.6.
5. Thunder-Grizzlies Game 1, May 1, 2011, KOCO-5, 19.7."
