Open Carry Bill Misfires In House Committee

Ixnay: Cover it up with a coat.
The House Public Safety Committee voted 9-8 today against the open carry of firearms by citizens holding concealed carry licenses.

The amended Senate Bill 129 was sponsored by Rep. Leslie Osborn, R-Tuttle, who said she was surprised by the vote.

She said the issue is dead for this session.

The bill appears to include the same language that was passed last year but vetoed by then-Governor Brad Henry.
