Harry Birdwell Selected For School Land Post

Former Oklahoma State University Athletic Director Harry Birdwell has been named secretary of the School Land Commission by the five-member commission that includes Governor Fallin and other statewide officials.

He replaces Doug Allen, who will become general counsel of the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

Birdwell has worked with the Rural Electric Co-op and the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.

Fallin says his experience provides a strong background in education, rural development and economic development.
