Edmond Women Better On The Firing Range

From The Oklahoman ~ Half the participants in the Edmond Citizen's Police Academy had never fired a weapon before their class spent the day at a local shooting range recently.

That didn't stop several class members — especially the women — from showing good skills with a .45-caliber handgun or AR-15 rifle.

“The women turned out to be better,” said officer Randy Payne, the academy coordinator. “The women had not-bad habits. I found myself saying, ‘Holy cow, that was good.'”
