It's Official: Bingman New Senate GOP Leader

Senator Brian Bingman of Sapulpa was officially elected president pro tem-designate of the Senate today.

He immediately named Senator Mike Schulz of Altus as floor leader.

Bingman will succeed Glenn Coffee in January; Coffee is term-limited. Yesterday, he was named co-chairman of Governor-elect Mary Fallin's transition team.

The remainder of the Senate GOP leadership will be elected next week.
