Barresi Names Transition Team, Staff Members Include Jennifer Carter, Gardenhire, Valleroy

School Superintendent-elect Janet Barresi announced today that her campaign manager, Jennifer Carter, heads her transition team and will become her chief of staff in the Department of Education.
Carter, former assistant insurance commissioner, will be joined by Damon Gardenhire, Barresi's new director of communications, and Russell Valleroy, her new director of operations.
Gardenhire
Gardenhire is a longtime Oklahoma City public relations specialist who also has held top posts at Integris Baptist Hospital and the Oklahoma City University School of Law; he also served as communications director of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Valleroy has been assistant insurance commissioner.
