Askins Leads In Dollars Raised

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jari Askins has raised the most money so far in this year's election cycle, according to reports filed with the state Ethics Commission.

Askins, the state's lieutenant governor, raised $3,750 Monday, putting her total raised so far at $4.07 million. She earlier loaned her campaign $1.125 million.

Her Republican rival, Mary Fallin, a congresswoman from Edmond, has raised $3.95 million.
