Cornett Named 'Pubic Official Of The Year'

Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett was today named “Public Official of the Year” by Governing Magazine, the nation’s preeminent publication for state and local governments. Governing Publisher Fred Kuhn made the announcement at City Hall in downtown Oklahoma City.

In its 17th year, the annual awards program recognizes leaders from state, city and county government for outstanding accomplishment in their community. Mayor Cornett was recognized for his leadership on the MAPS 3 and “This City is Going on a Diet!” initiatives.
