Edmondson Proves Money Isn't Everything

From www.tulsaworld.com ~ Democrat Drew Edmondson's ill-fated gubernatorial campaign spent nearly $2.4 million, including nearly $700,000 in the final weeks leading up to his July 27 primary loss to Jari Askins.

According to state Ethics Commission reports filed Monday, Edmondson raised more than $2.7 million in his bid to follow term-limited Brad Henry as the state's chief executive.

He spent $686,636.51 for the four-week reporting period beginning July 13 and ending Aug. 9
