Donations Roll In For Lankford; Calvey Lags

UPDATE: James Lankford reported $41,800 in new donations through Sunday, bringing his 4-day total to almost $87,000. Kevin Calvey reported $4,800, bringing his total for the period to $20,400.

Political newcomer James Lankford continues to outpace veteran office-holder Kevin Calvey in fundraising as their race for the Republican nomination in Congress faces resolution in Tuesday's vote.


While Calvey has enjoyed a substantial fundraising advantage over Lankford in the overall, Lankford has outraised him in the closing days of the primary and is doing it again in the runoff.

Federal Election Commission reports for last-minute contributions made on Thursday and Friday of last week show that Lankford outraised Calvey almost 3-to-1.

Lankford reported the receipt of $44,900 and Calvey reported the receipt of $15,600.
