NRA-ILA Corrects Laughlin Pro-Gun Record With 'A'

The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action is taking steps to correct an error in its ratings of candidates for state treasurer in which former Senator Owen Laughlin was given a "?" rating instead of the "A" he deserved.

The NRA-ILA's Ashley Varner, Oklahoma State Liaison, wrote Laughlin to tell him of the error correction. She also provided a letter on NRA-Political Victory Fund stationary apprising him of his "A" rating.

The mixup apparently occurred when Laughlin, a longtime supporter of 2nd Amendment rights, did not receive a questionnaire the NRA sent in the race for treasurer.
