Early Voting Opens Friday Morning

Registered voters wishing to cast their ballots early for Oklahoma’s 2010 Primary Election can do so this Friday, Saturday, or Monday.

All 77 county election board offices will be open for “early voting” – officially known as in-person absentee voting – in the days leading up to the July 27 Primary Election:

Friday, July 23: 8 AM – 6 PM
Saturday, July 24: 8 AM – 1 PM
Monday, July 26: 8 AM – 6 PM

Voters who want to vote early must do so in the county where they are registered to vote. A list of county election boards and addresses is available on the State Election Board’s website:
http://elections.ok.gov.

“Early voting is a convenient alternative for a voter who for some reason can’t make it to their polling place on Election Day, and it is also a nice option for those voters who are so excited to vote that they don’t want to wait until Tuesday,” said Paul Ziriax, State Election Board Secretary.
