Election Board Launches New Website

The Oklahoma State Election Board recently launched a new website with a fresh new look and new address at http://elections.ok.gov/.

From the homepage, visitors to the new site can easily find answers to frequently asked
questions about elections in Oklahoma, including:
• Registering to vote in Oklahoma,
• Applying for absentee ballots,
• Election dates and deadlines,
• Information for military voters and voters with disabilities,
• Candidate filing information,
• Locating a voter’s polling place,
• Getting a replacement Voter ID card,
• Contact information for the State Election Board and all 77 county election boards.

“With Oklahoma’s 2010 elections approaching, we wanted to redesign our Web site so that it is clear and concise, easy-to-use, and allows us to communicate more effectively with the public,” said State Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax. “We feel we have achieved this mission, and we are very excited that the new website will enhance the State Election Board’s ability to provide information to voters and candidates throughout the election season.”
