Tulsa Public Schools Keep Lobbyist On The Job

From The Tulsa World Online ~ Tulsa Public Schools has extended its relationship with a congressional lobbying firm as it awaits word on $3.6 million in federal funding requests. The school district is seeking nearly $2 million in start-up funds to establish a district-operated campus police force and $1.6 million to improve alternative education -- both through congressional appropriations. The school board approved a three-month, $45,000 contract extension Monday with Tulsa-based Heartland Consulting Inc. to continue lobbying Congress for the money.
