The Tulsa World is out with an informative piece today, one that makes a point we've often cited here on The McCarville Report Online: Reading the expenditure side of candidate finance reports tells you very little about how they spend money. Candidates for state office spent more than $30 million on their 2006 political campaigns, paying for everything from turtle races to fly swatters, with most of the money going to advertising, a Tulsa World review has found.
